Registration Information

Required Minimum # of classes  

Pre-Primary & Primary 1 class per week
Trainee I  1 class per week
Trainee II & III 2 ballet technique classes a week required.
Trainee IV 3 ballet technique classes plus 1 pointe classes a week required
Trainee V 3 ballet technique classes a week plus 2 pointe classes required
Trainee VI 3 ballet technique classes a week plus 3 pointe classes required
Tap may be added for an extra fee. These classes may not be substitute for ballet technique class.
Registration Enrollment in classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Receipt of a completed registration packet (including registration form, medical release form, a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee and tuition payment) is required to enroll in classes. The summer program is a separate enrollment from the school year program.
Due Dates Tuition is due in full one week prior to the first day of each quarter. A $25.00 late fee will be applied if tuition is not received by the due date. A $35.00 late fee will be charged for all returned checks.  Bills will be sent home one week before the upcoming due date. These dates are listed on the school calendar brochure. Students may not participate in class until the tuition is paid in full.
Sibling Discount Families with more than one child enrolled in the school receive a 5% discount off the lesser tuition value.
Performance Fees Performance fees for each performance (Winter and Spring performances) in the amount of $125.00 are due upon signing up. Performance fees are non-refundable.
Withdrawals Enrollment at The Susan Lopez School of Ballet is for a school year program, which consists of four quarters, or whatever remains of the school year if your child enrolls after September. The Susan Lopez School of Ballet must be notified of withdrawal in writing 30 days before the day of withdrawal. If we are not notified of your child's withdrawal, you will be billed for the quarter whether your child was in attendance or not.
Private Instruction Instructor must be given a 24-hour notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson. You will be charged for the lesson if proper notification is not given.
Refunds NO REFUNDS & Classes are non-transferable from session to session.
Missed Classes May be made up within one month of the date of the missed class. Classes canceled with low attendance may also be made up within one month of the canceled class.
Cancellation We reserve the right to cancel a class or classes (including those with low attendance) at our discretion, and to substitute a teacher when needed.

Dress Codes

Pre-Primary - Trainee VI Girls Black tank leotards (can be purchased from instructor), pink tights, pink ballet shoes (black leg warmers may be worn). Hair must be secured away from the face. If hair is long it must be tied back in a bun. No jewelry.
Pointe Pink pointe shoes with pink ribbons and elastic.
Boys White tank tee-shirt, black tights, black or white ballet shoes.
